International Falls, MN is an ideal airport to use if you plan to fly. We are just over an hour’s drive from the border crossing there and can help arrange a shuttle for you.
If you are driving on the Trans Canada Hwy, 5 miles north of Nestor Falls you'll find a sign for Young's Wilderness Camp. Turn west onto Young’s Road and continue 1.5 miles to our landing. We will then meet at the landing to take you over to the island by boat.
If you are staying at the Kishkutena Lake outpost, you will have a scenic 15-minute flight from Young's Wilderness Camp to the outpost. Our experienced pilots ensure you will have a safe and comfortable flight to and from the outpost.
Young’s Wilderness Camp is in a shallow weedy bay that opens up to the vast waters of Lake of the Woods for access to Ontario’s best fishing. The bay is ideal spawning grounds for muskie and schooling species, so you can catch walleye, bass, crappie, Northern Pike, perch and sauger in our area.
Whether you are looking for a trophy fish or a quiet day on the water with your group, our guides are here to help you find the perfect catch.
We want you to have a memorable experience and enjoy a tradition of coming back for years to come. This is why we offer a range of packages that meet your budget, availability and need for amenities. We offer American, and Housekeeping Plan packages, as well as our Fly-In Outpost. Large groups can reserve the entire island for a private function.
Visit our Lodgings page to explore our packages, or feel free to reach out to us at or 1-807-484-2930.
Young’s Wilderness Camp is open from the Walleye opening weekend in May to mid-October.
While our island camp is secluded, we make your stay as enjoyable as possible by providing additional amenities you can access. Our onsite bait and tackle shop has quality tackle suited for local species, along with fresh live bait, including minnows, worms, and leeches. You can also purchase Essential fishing supplies, cold beverages and snacks, basic hygiene items, first aid supplies and camp souvenirs.
Our island is privately owned and has no neighbors. The entirety of Stevens Bay has no public access and almost no residents. Our outpost cabin on Kishkutena Lake is at the northern tip miles away from the nearest cabin, which there are only 3 others on the entire lake. Both sites are only accessible by boat and plane, and it’s common to spend the whole day on the lake without seeing another boat. It all comes together to create a secluded and peaceful experience for our guests. When staying at Young’s Wilderness Camp, you can find plenty of private areas while also forming friendships with the other guests.
Our meals are hand-made, so we can meet specific dietary needs. We proudly serve delicious, quality, healthy and safe food. If you have ingredients you’d like us to avoid in your meals, please let Lily know.
