Fishing and Hunting on Kishkutena Lake Canada - a remote Fly-in Vacation


“KISH”

We say “Kish”, mostly because Kishkutena is harder to pronounce than it is to spell. No matter, because if you like the privacy of wilderness, the serenity of solitude and to live your dreams of catching fish, you’ll love the settings at our remote fly-in outpost. Lots of bays, plenty of structure, seven miles long and up to sixty deep feet… well, the pictures here pretty much tell it all…

Kish is known for its scrappy Smallmouth Bass and abundance of mighty Muskies in the waters surrounding our cabin. If you’d like to try your luck at landing a nice Lake Trout, deeper waters are only a short boat ride away. Either way, the outpost boasts a reputation for spawning fishing success stories. 4 boats (three with 6 h.p. motors and one with a 15 h.p. motor) and gas are ready whenever and where ever you want to go, on the water, that is! In order to provide more comfort for you, two of these boats have been equipped with bow mount trolling motors and casting platforms."

“Kish” is located 15 miles east of Nestor Falls, about a twenty-minute flight from the dock at Young’s Camp. The roomy, comfy cabin is solar powered, complete with propane stove and fridge to store your “stuff”. It even has hot and cold running water, how about that?

All you need to bring is your fishing equipment and food. Everything else is already there for you, but we can’t clean your catch. You’ll have to do that before you relax on the deck after a day of good fishing, enjoying a different dimension of the Canadian wilderness.
